Commuting service platform: Concept and analysis

We propose and investigate the concept of commuting service platform (CSP) that leverages emerging mobility services for connect directly commuters (employees) their worksites (employers). By applying two-sided market analysis framework, we show under what conditions a CSP may present two-sidedness. Both monopoly duopoly CSPs are then analyzed. how price allocation, i.e., prices charged to worksites, can impact participation profit CSPs. also extend method consider locations homes general modeling framework locations. Discussions presented on findings in this paper help build practice develop new, CSP-based travel demand management strategies.
